Warped

Caution Warning: The game has descriptions of violent scenes and mentions of physical and psychological torture.

An insecure and entitled man awakens the psychic ability to bend reality around him and traps his three coworkers inside the studio, torturing them for the perceived wrong he did to them. The local authorities are unable to breach inside the studio, and the psychic's power grow with each passing minute.  Then a mysterious figure comes to them, saying he can help recue the hostages and stop the psychic. With no other options, they accept, unsure if this figure will be able to stop the psychic inside his own warped reality.

Notes: This visual novel is a Work in Progress, many of the sprites and CGs currently on the game are placeholders. Note also, that the build 0.8 of the game was made in 30 days as a challenge to myself. I am revising the story and finishing the assets in the next few weeks, but most of it was done in a month. About the Setting

This game is set on my urban fantasy setting, Nocturnal Dance. A world of contrasts between the gray concrete and the colorful neon lights, the mundane and the supernatural, the world you know and the world you don't see.

Set in the 90s, the world has forever changed when in the around 40 years ago scientists proved that psychic phenomena are real, and with it the discovery of things like spirits and people born with strange characteristics and powers.

Many things changed due to this, but many stay the same. You still have to pay your bills and have to worry if you are going to get late to work, but at the same time, you now have to worry if that guy that looked at you weird was a telepath or just some weirdo.

I have been working on this setting for over a decade and I am very excited to finally have something people can interact with. Expect a lot more stories that explore this setting, and expect also a TTRPG adaptation I'm making for the Cypher System.
